Implications of Productive Zakat Funds for Empowering UMKM (Analysis Study of Bojong Rangkas Village, Ciampea, Bogor)

Abstract

Economic development to improve people's standard of living requires concrete steps to overcome poverty and unemployment. Micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) are the main focus in developing the local economy. Zakat funds are seen as a solution to support UMKM by providing the necessary financing. Research in Bojong Rangkas Village shows that the majority of respondents support the contribution of BAZNAS Microfinance in supporting UMKM through productive zakat funds. However, there is variation in responses to the effectiveness of the zakat program in supporting UMKM development, indicating a diversity of opinions regarding this matter.
